    Sinopsis Secuela de "A todo gas" (The Fast and the Furious). Brian OConnor (Paul Walker), un policia caido en desgracia, fue un adicto a la velocidad y ahora esta pagando un precio por ello. Tal y como lo ven sus antiguos jefes y los altos mandos del FBI, este agente de incognito les echo a perder una de las investigaciones mas importantes que habian emprendido. Al ver sus distintas lealtades puestas a prueba tras haberse infiltrado en el mundo de las carreras clandestinas nocturnas de Los Angeles, O'Connor destapo su identidad y dejo huir -montado en su moto de carreras preparada- al jefe de una banda criminal. La decision de O'Connor le permitio conservar su honor, pero le hizo perder su insignia y toda posibilidad de rehabilitarse. Ahora ha pasado el tiempo, O'Connor esta en otra ciudad y tiene una ultima oportunidad. A los federales de Miami les esta costando mucho detener a Carter Vellone (Cole Hauser), un empresario que utiliza su negocio de importacion y exportacion como tapadera para un cartel internacional de blanqueo de dinero. Aduanas lleva un ano sometiendo a Verone a una estricta vigilancia, y lo unico que han podido establecer es su relacion con las carreras callejeras ilegales. El tiempo se acaba, y los agentes deciden llamar a O'Connor para que haga lo que sabe hacer mejor que nadie: volver a infiltrarse entre los conductores. Pero este hombre individualista poco amigo de los reglamentos pone algunas condiciones para aceptar la mision que puede permitirle recuperar su insignia. El primero: trabajar con su amigo de infancia y antiguo delincuente Roman Pearce (Tyrese), otro enfermo de la velocidad.
