Sinopsis Kick-Ass gira en torno a Dave Lizewski (Aaron Johnson), un estudiante de instituto que pasa inadvertido entre sus companeros. Apasionado de los comics, un dia concibe la idea de convertirse en un superheroe, aunque no tenga superpoderes, no haya seguido un duro entrenamiento y ni siquiera tenga una razon de peso para ello. Pero la vida de Dave cambiara para siempre cuando conozca a un par de locos vigilantes -la terremoto de 11 anos Hit Girl (Chloe Moretz) y su padre, Big Daddy (Nicolas Cage)- y forje amistad con un joven que lucha contra el crimen, Red Mist (Christopher Mintz-Plasse). Y cuando todos se tengan que enfrentar al jefe de la mafia local, Frank D'Amico (Mark Strong), sus alianzas y sus verdaderas habilidades seran puestas a prueba.
